Highlights from the Enclave: Acton Launch Festival

Acton

Last month, we celebrated the opening of Enclave: Acton with an unforgettable all-day launch festival.

A milestone moment for our team with such an incredible turnout of residents and guests. The day was filled with connection, creativity and plenty of memorable moments.

Here’s a rundown of what happened on the day.

A warm welcome

Every good day starts with a good cup of coffee. Guests enjoyed complimentary coffees, teas and matcha from The Mobile Coffee Bean pop-up van outside, setting the tone for a relaxed but energised morning.

Wellness sessions

We kicked off the launch festival with a series of wellness sessions hosted by Yoke Space, starting off with a morning yoga flow to ease everyone into the day.

This was followed by an energising barre class then a peaceful sound bath for some deep relaxation.

Career and creative writing workshops

Throughout the morning, we hosted a couple of workshops for residents looking to expand their professional development or tap into their creativity.

Carl Coddington, a talent expert and entrepreneur, led the Winning Career Moves with AI workshop, sharing great insights on leveraging AI to stand out in today’s job market.

Dr Poonam Madar, a sociologist, writer and curator hosted the ACT-ON Your Imagination: Writing through Rhythm & Play workshop where residents got creative with poems and spoken word pieces.

Getting hands on at Acton

As the day continued, our creative workshops gave residents the chance to roll up their sleeves and try something new.

From making their own sushi rolls with Hashi Cooking, building tropical terrariums with Leafage to designing Indian block print tea towels with Neer's Screen Prints.

Each workshop offered a fun, laidback setting where guests discovered new hobbies and created personalised keepsakes to take home.

Upcycling and Self-care

The bar lounge and sky library transformed into a space dedicated to style, sustainability and self care.

Guests and residents could shop unique secondhand and upcycled pieces or craft their very own denim upcycled creation, hosted by Restore.

Guests could switch off and enjoy a moment of self-care, either by creating a soothing natural face mask with Wholeface Workshops or opting for a relaxing express manicure with Nails by Mets.

An evening to remember

The fun continued into the evening as the Enclave Comedy Club took centre stage with a hilarious live comedy set from Eshaan Akbar, Maple Zuo, Lee Peart and Bella Hull.

Guests tucked into a delicious Korean street food spread prepared by Nimtoh, as well as enjoying various craft beers, cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks before heading to the Enclave Party.
