Here's a look back at some of our favourite moments.

Welcome to The Store House

The celebrations began at our check-in point, where guests were welcomed with a complimentary matcha, bubble tea or coffee before setting off to explore the building.

Bubble tea proved especially popular, while every guest also received a Launch Festival Passport which help guide them through our new building which when completed automatically entered them into a prize draw to win 1 of 2 x £100 Prezzee Vouchers & a year's worth of free meals from Hooyah Burgers.

Creative Workshops

In our study spaces, students got stuck into a variety of hands-on creative workshops.

Guests embroidered and upcycled clothing and accessories with Made Once Creations, designed custom badges with Slug Studios, decorated their own succulent plant pots with Janice Leung and created their own natural body scrubs with Secret Garden Cosmetics.

It was fantastic to see so many people trying something new and leaving with something they had created themselves.

Getting Creative at the World Food Studio

The Private Dining Room was transformed into the World Food Studio, where students enjoyed fresh, made-to-order sushi from WAKI MAKI.

For those wanting to channel their inner chef, guests could also try their hand at rolling their own sushi. It was the perfect mix of great food and creativity.

Rooftop sketch session

The Roof Terrace provided the backdrop for our Rooftop Runway Sketch Session, where students sketched live models while a DJ set the soundtrack.

With incredible city views and a chilled atmosphere, it didn't matter whether you were an experienced artist or hadn't picked up a pencil in years. Everyone got involved and created something unique.

Crazy Golf

The Courtyard Terrace on the first floor became home to our very own 9-hole Crazy Golf Course.

Whether guests were challenging their friends to a match, showing off their putting skills or simply having a laugh, it was one of those activities that brought lighthearted fun to the day.

Lights, camera, action

Our Creator Studio gave aspiring content creators the chance to film and create content within one of our cluster apartments.

Students loved exploring the space for themselves. The space offered a glimpse into the modern student apartments available at The Store House.

Gym drop-in challenges

The gym was buzzing as students joined our Find Your Fit sessions.

From quick fitness challenges to chats with personal trainers about goals and routines, it was a great opportunity to pick up tips on how to stay active while studying.

Making new friends at The Social Hub

One of the liveliest spaces in the building was undoubtedly The Social Hub.

Hosted in our Games Room by Ash Bestos, an incredible drag artist. The space featured pool, shuffleboard, games and speed-friending sessions throughout the day.

It was a great reminder that some of the best parts of university life begin with meeting new people and stepping outside your comfort zone.

Guests kicked back in comfy seats with complimentary popcorn and sweets while enjoying a curated selection of TV shows and short-form videos.

The Secret Comedy Club

As the evening arrived, guests gathered for one of the most anticipated events of the festival.

Our one-night-only Secret Comedy Club transformed a cluster apartment kitchen into a comedy venue.

Guests enjoyed performances from incredible comedians Russell Hicks, Kyrah Gray and Maple Zuo, all hosted by the brilliant Lee Peart. With complimentary drinks and snacks on arrival, it quickly became one of the standout moments of the entire festival.

Rooftop Party

To round off the celebrations, guests headed up to our stunning Roof Terrace for an evening party with the Leeds skyline as the backdrop.

There were smash burgers from Hooyah Burgers, complimentary cocktails and drinks, live DJ sets, giant games, a photobooth and plenty of opportunities to soak up the atmosphere.

It felt like the perfect way to celebrate the beginning of an exciting new chapter for The Store House.
